A company that contributes to the personal development of its customers on a daily basis has the duty to take the training of its staff seriously. Armed with this knowledge and convinced that employees who benefit from frequent training or study trips are likely to be more enthusiastic and motivated, ESL-Language Studies Abroad is pursuing its internal training strategy with great conviction.

A large number of people working for ESL – whether in the Sales, IT, Marketing or Design teams or in other fields – have already benefited from training opportunities offered by their employer. Many of them were delighted after taking part in one of the ESL Famtrips (trips aimed at getting to know destinations and local partner schools better), which are organised regularly for the benefit of the staff members in charge of selling ESL products and organising language study trips abroad. Nobody can help you choose a destination better than a consultant who has visited the place and the partner schools him/herself!

In other teams, thematic training is offered on a regular basis and assiduously followed by our employees. Let’s hear the view of Clément Barré, manager of the Design department: “Three members of the web team and three members of the design team recently had a weekend-long training and brainstorming session with an external expert. Earlier this year I spent two weeks improving my English in London. During this time I continued to work remotely from where I was studying. We also have regular training to help the staff work well together. I recently completed a three day leadership and conflict management course

ESL – Language Studies Abroad not only offers opportunities for staff development, but also encourages its employees to achieve personal projects. Learning languages is at the heart of ESL’s activity. Then it seems only natural that the company should provide opportunities for its staff to travel, discover other cultures and – of course – develop their language skills. This approach enables a great number of employees to enjoy language study trips throughout the world. It is not surprising, therefore, that some ESL offices are like the Tower of Babel – where everyone understands each other!

Early on, ESL – Language Studies Abroad understood the advantage of staff development. The dynamic is visible throughout the company and proves – if need be – that an organisation that believes in the potential of its employees can ensure their personal development in the long run. The team is stronger and the working environment better.  It is not by accident that the company is now enjoying a positive growth curve – it is the result of the high dedication of its staff.
