How did you find your way to ESL, when did you start working and what was your first position?
When I finished my studies, my parents decided to offer me a language trip to Spain: it was one of the most exciting experiences of my life! For this reason, when I came back, I decided to look for a job in the travel and languages’ field. After a simple research on the web, I started sending my CV to some of the travel agencies in Milan… and a few days later, I received a phone call by Olivier, the current Head of Sales. After an interview at the office, he decided to hire me as an LTC at the “young” ESL office in Milan. In fact, the office had been opened only a few months before and I still think it was a real privilege to be part of the birth and the growth of ESL’s presence in Italy.
What’s your current position at ESL and how did you get there, which development did you follow?
I’m currently working in the Sales Team in Milan, as an LTC, but during my almost ten years at ESL I had the chance to perform different roles: a few years after I started as an LTC, I had the opportunity to manage the Milan office as Office Manager. After a break, due to the birth of my first son, I accepted the new challenge to manage our new administration team (IAC) during their first few months in Italy. I took a second break with my second maternity and, once back, I was really excited to go back to the origins: the sales area! The direct contact with our students is one of the tasks I love the most in my job.
What do you like about working ESL and what do you think has been key to ESL’s success in the last 20 years?
I love working at ESL because languages and travels have always been a true passion for me. I feel lucky when I realize that everyday I can live the dream that is hidden behind each language travel project. And if we add the young, familiar, but at the same time, professional environment that distinguishes ESL… the perfect mix is done! I really believe that ESL’s success is the result of the passion that each of us has for this job!
