A trip to New York is not a trip to New York if you don’t go to a Broadway show. So I got a discounted ticket and sat among other musicals enthusiasts.
New York is a fancy place. Lights, music, fashion. It really has it all.
I knew the Big Apple smelled like food 24/7, and it’s not hard to believe it considering the huge amount of “delicatessen” vans you can find in every corner. I think that the lady who was sitting on my left decided to try them all and bring with her the lovely fragrance.
You know, sharing is caring.
Manhattan is covered by a red layer all the way through. Hearts everywhere people.
St. Valentine’s is approaching and of course the most consumeristic place on earth couldn’t miss the opportunity to entertain the enchanted population staring at the Times square screens with a good ads-binging.
I’m not sure I like the brainstorming activity continuously going on in cities such as NY, London or Tokio, but I have to say that I’m not against advertisement. In an era in which we buy things just because celebrities say we should, I can recognise a creative piece when I see one. And to be honest with you, I’m quite a big fan.
I love the fact that now more then ever publicity needs to be clever and subtle, almost abandoning the traditional product promotion concept to get closer to a form of art and entertainment.
This city has got plenty of these examples and, even if they keep on being on your face, they really form part of the urban decoration.
I’m going to share a couple with you. It was love at first sight.
To sum up, these last two days have been full of social events. Today theatre, yesterday the summit, than the after party (by the way, my colleagues are really asking me to publish a photo of me, so if you really want to see my pretty face, I am the one wearing the yellow jumper here).
It is almost impossible to believe that these distractions didn’t stop me for getting my very own Business English Certificate! And since I know you are not going to believe it, I am going to prove it to you:
Bring it on! My course was a great success!
What do you think?
