How did you find your way to ESL, when did you start working and what was your first position?
My relationship with ESL started 11 years ago. I was looking for an agency to organize my language trip; I found ESL on the Internet and their website was already full of amazing destinations. I went to the office in Montreux to be advised and that day I fell in love with the company. I said to myself: “This is the place where I want to work”. Several months later, after I came back from my language trip, I checked the job offers on the ESL website: they were looking for an Internet intern, so I applied and started one week later. ☺
What’s your current position at ESL and how did you get there, which development did you follow?
After one year as an intern (I was the only person working for the Web in the company!), I was offered a full-time position as a Web Developer and the Web team started to grow. A couple of years later, ESL offered me the Web manager position. Now, I’m managing a team of 6 developers; every day we do our best to ensure the success of every single project promoted by ESL.
During these years, ESL gave me the possibility to improve my English with 2 other language trips, and I attended many training courses in the Internet field. The one I’m prouder of is a federal diploma as a Web Project Manager.
What do you like about working at ESL and what do you think has been key to ESL’s success in the last 20 years?
They trust their employees. As you can see from my career path, the company gave me the opportunity and the right challenges to develop myself, as well as the means to succeed. ESL has maintained its young, fresh and positive attitude and I think that this is one of the many key factors for its success.
